Walawala Controversy: Sauw Blaze drops hint on upcoming single

The singer who refused to let controversies spring up on the title of the song said it simply means prosperity, hinting his fans around the world that the song is for hustlers. Walawala which featured Trez Lupe, is to be released ahead of a new campaign in the career of the artiste having seen relative success in his debut album which was released last year as he looks at building something new from it. “After the album, I just have to move on with new singles and videos. Walawala will lubricate the grounds for my upcoming video and I want to continue in that line with juicy releases for my fans this year. “I’m happy with the level I’m operating on now and thanks to everyone who has been with me to this level”, he said. The single which is also subtitled ‘African No 1’ according to Sauw Blaze will be released on Wednesday March 22, 2017 and is produced by Trez Lupe who was also featured on the track.

Labels scramble for unsigned artistes, as Tuface, Atiba, GospelOnTheBeatz speak in first Imo Artistes Conference

Afro pop legend Tuface Idibia alongside others with inspiring success stories have been drafted as speakers in the first ever Imo Entertainment Conference slated for Saturday April 29, 2017 at Imo International Convention Center Owerri. The conference which has been described as a meeting point for Imo Entertainers with stake holders and investors from within and outside the state is tagged ‘Entertainment is the new oil’ and is packaged by the collaborative efforts of the joint conveners, Uriel Nwadiaro of the Grey Lines Company and the office of the Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment and Public Affairs to Governor of Imo State. Speaking ahead of the event, the SSA on Entertainment and Public Affairs, Hon. Chukwunonye Irouno said the event is in line with the vision of the state governor to transform the entertainment industry into a major pillar for socioeconomic development in Imo State. He revealed that his office is taking things step by step and testimonies have been recorded in the past months. “We started by showing that Imo is really blessed with talents and we have maintained that consistency by showing that what we have is not a fluke or over hyped individuals. Most of those who had development love for outside talents have started appreciating what we have here and the next thing is for us to market these talents for general growth and development. “We are bringing investors in different genres of entertainment to see what we have and also see who and who would be picked on that day. What we are doing has never been done here before and that is also why we are bringing individuals with excellent track record in the industry as speakers to these young ones. They will tell them how to go about their entertainment business, so as to succeed” Hon. Irouno said. Other speakers at the event include Gospel on the Beat, Ateba alongside others from various sectors of the entertainment industry. Registrations of delegates will kick off by 8:00am, while the main conference starts by 10:00am at Imo International Convention Center, IICC Owerri. Audition for performances for the conference will hold on April 25th and 26th, 2017 at Bongo Center beginning by 3:00pm each of the days with a Two Thousand Naira [N2000] ticket admitting interested participant, while artistes will be given time to perform after the conference which will be featuring speeches, question and answer sessions. Participants seeking special celebrity attentions at the conference are to pay Thirty Thousand Naira [N30,000] only. The tickets are on sale at House of Freeda, Grand Cubana, Bongo Center, Rock View Hotels and Zanders FM. Afropop legend, Tuface Idibia aka Tubaba has already released a video message calling on entertainers and stakeholders of the industry in Imo State to attend the event en masse because of the rich positive impact and connections it is going to offer. Also in the line of activities for the day is the grand finale of the Imo Student Got Talent Fiesta which will kick off after the conference at the same venue by 5:00pm. The N2000 ticket for the conference will also be valid for the Talent Fiesta.

Big Brother Nigeria Housemates storm Imo, as Government, Entertainers welcome Uriel Oputa

Big Brother Nigeria Housemates will storm Imo State on Saturday April 29, 2017 to witness the homecoming of their colleague Uriel Ngozi Oputa, who hails from Oguta, Imo State. The reception will take place toether with the first Imo Artistes Conference captioned 'Entertainment is the new oil' on Saturday April 29, 2017 at the Imo International Convention Center Owerri. Big Brother Niaja winner Efe is expected to lead other housemates to the conference and talent fiesta venue, where afro pop legend Tuface Idibia (Tubaba) will lead speakers, GospelOnTheBeatz, Atiba of Imperial Music among others from various sectors of the entertainment industry. According to Hon. Irounu Chukwunonye, the Special Assistant On Entertainment and Public Affairs to the Governor," the fans of these housemates have become uncountable and many youths will look up to them for inspiration hence their combined presence with TuFace Idibia will make the event more classy, motivating and highly entertaining ". Live performances from greatly endowed Imo Artistes whose single demos must be submitted for the consideration of different Record Label Agents, Producers and Sponsors,will follow the conference. Imo State groomed XBusta and F2 of 5-Star Music and 7th Republic respectively are among the Judges to the Imo Students Got Talent Fiesta which caps the activities of the day. The Conference will hold from 12 noon to 3pm and prepares the ground for the Talent Fiesta which begins 4pm. The N2000 ticket, purchasable at Bongo Center, Cubana, Rockview Hotel, House Of Freda and Zanders FM Radio Station, covers the entire events for the day. Auditions for all Artistes will hold at the Bongo Center on Tuesday April 25 and Wednesday April 26, 2017, beginning 3pm.
